The MKD chimney system allows for the absorption of fumes created by modern heating systems that are destructive to traditional ceramic chimneys. The MKD system is a series of parts forming an independent frame and does not need an existing chimney to be installed.

The inner duct of the MKD system is made of acid resistant steel, type 1.4404. This guarantees long-term resistance to the harsh conditions that are created from fumes of certain chemical compositions. The outer jacket is made of acid resistant steel, type 1.4301. This layer is built to withstand harsh atmospheric conditions. Installation of the system depends on the heating equipment, the appropriate chimney height, environmental regulations, and the conditions of the structure that is to be heated.

The MKD system can handle temperatures up to but not exceeding 500o Centigrade. The fumes cannot be combustible or contain explosive elements.

The parts of the MKD system are ready to assemble and are suitable for any atmospheric condition. The entire length of the duct must sustain a temperature higher than the dew point of the fumes which it carries. This restriction does not apply to condensation boilers that have a fume duct that works in variable conditions.

There are three types of installation for the MKD system:

* Installation partly inside the structure with suitable outer absorption.
* Installation outside of the building with the use of an outer wall as a support frame with consideration given to chimney height above the roof.
* nstallation on a separate steel support frame.
