Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic that supports the growth of friendly bacteria and helps maintain a healthy balance of microflora in intestinal environment. Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic strain uniquely “preencapsulated” in spores that resist the action of antibiotics, gastric acid, bile, chemicals and heat. Lactobacillus sporogenes thus can survive passage into the small intestine, where the spores germinate after 30 minutes to reproduce. Unlike other strains of lactobacillus, Lactobacillus sporogenes does not require refrigeration to maintain its peak potency, which gives it a distinct advantage over other probiotic organisms. Even when stored at a high temperature of 40°C and 80% relative humidity, in viable cell counts decreased are negligible.
